A Planner's Guide · Atlanta Event Photography

Hiring an event photographer in Atlanta? We're glad you found us.

A friendly, practical guide for event planners, marketing teams and anyone booking photo or video coverage in Atlanta. It covers what to ask for, how much coverage you might need, and how to get images your team will keep using. We pulled it together from what we've learned covering conferences, galas and activations around the city, the same stuff we'd happily tell you on a call.

What planners are actually asking for

The six things planners tell us matter most.

We've read plenty of reviews from Atlanta planners, the good and the bad, and the same handful of things keep coming up. Here's how we try to make each one easy for you.

Reliability

“Don't miss a beat when things get hectic.”

Awards, room flips, a keynote running long, we get it, events keep everyone on their toes. We read your run-of-show ahead of time so we know which moments matter most to you, and on bigger events we split rooms between shooters so the award and the breakout both get covered.

Presence

“I shouldn't have to babysit the photographer.”

Most of our background is in film production, where the crew is supposed to be invisible, we've carried that lesson with us. We dress for the room, stay out of sightlines, and never stop a speaker for a photo. We'll check in with you before and after so you always know where we are.

People

“Make everyone comfortable in front of the camera.”

A lot of people feel a little awkward in front of a camera, totally normal! Headshots and portraits are a big part of our work, so we're used to helping even the most camera-shy VP relax and look natural in about ten seconds.

Communication

“Be responsive, and adapt when plans change.”

You'll work directly with the people who show up on the day. When a session moves or a VIP arrives early, we just roll with it. And we're quick to reply, you should never need three emails to get an answer from us.

Usefulness

“Give us photos we can actually use.”

We'd love to hear where your images are headed: sponsor recaps, next year's invite, LinkedIn, the board deck. Then we shoot with those uses in mind, including the sponsor logos, the details and the wide establishing shots.

Consistency

“Headshots that actually match.”

Mismatched headshots can make a team page look a bit off. Our on-site booths keep the same light, framing and background from the first person to the four-hundredth, so every photo fits together nicely.

Shot with the end use in mind

It's not just proof you were there, it's how it felt.

Most coverage starts with the checklist: speakers, breakouts, happy hour. We cover all of that, and we also keep an eye out for the little stories happening in between. Here's where those images usually end up.

Sponsor recaps

Branded moments, booth traffic and logo placement, shot so sponsors can see what their support made possible, and hopefully renew.

Next year's invite

Packed rooms, big reactions and the wide shots that show scale. These make wonderful key art for next year's registration page.

Leadership & internal comms

Executives caught mid-conversation instead of posed at a podium. These work nicely for all-hands decks and the company newsletter.

Press & PR

Clean, editorial frames of keynote speakers and announcements that a newsroom can run as-is.

Social & LinkedIn

Vertical-friendly compositions and short video moments, captured on purpose instead of cropped after the fact.

Attendee headshots

Something every guest gets to take home. It's also one of the easiest (and most fun) ways to draw people to a sponsor booth.

One team, one booking

Photo, video and headshots, all under one roof.

If you'd rather keep things simple, we can handle photo, video and headshots together, one contract, one crew, one consistent look. Or pick and choose whichever pieces are helpful. Totally up to you.

      For your vendor shortlist

Questions to ask any event photographer

These are great questions for anyone on your shortlist, including us! We're always happy to talk through them, no strings attached.

      01

Can I see a full event gallery?A highlight reel shows a photographer's favorite twelve frames. A full gallery shows what an average hour actually looks like, we're always happy to share ours.

      02

Will you review our run-of-show?A shot list is a great start, but a run-of-show helps a photographer catch all the wonderful moments that aren't on any list.

      03

Who will actually be on site? It's nice to know who you'll be working with! Feel free to ask any photographer on your list, we'll gladly introduce you to the exact crew.

      04

How do you handle multiple rooms at once?Concurrent sessions usually need more than one shooter, or a clear plan for what gets priority. Either answer can work, it just helps to know in advance.

      05

Can headshots, photo and video match?Three vendors can mean three different looks. One team keeps everything consistent, if that's helpful to you.

      06

When do we get the gallery, and what if we need it sooner? It's smart to get the delivery date in writing, and it never hurts to ask about rush options before the event.

      07

Have you worked in our venue?A photographer who knows the building can skip the learning curve and get right to shooting. We know most of Atlanta's venues, and we're always up for learning a new one.

      08

What if the event runs long? It's best to agree on how overtime works before the day, so nobody has to negotiate anything during the closing session.

      Planner FAQ

      Frequently asked questions

How long does it take to receive our event photos?+

We deliver your full edited, high-resolution gallery within 3–5 business days of your event. If you have a press deadline or a board meeting coming up, just let us know, we offer rush delivery and we're happy to work with your timeline.

How much does corporate event photography cost in Atlanta?+

Great question, happy to walk you through it! Pricing depends on hours, number of shooters, whether you add video or headshots, and how fast you need delivery. We quote each event individually so you only pay for the coverage you need.

The more you can tell us up front, date, venue, headcount, schedule, and where the images will be used, the more accurate your quote will be. No pressure either way; we're glad to talk it through.

How much coverage do we actually need?+

It really comes down to the moments that matter most, not how long the event runs. A three-hour reception with one keynote might need one photographer for two hours; a multi-track conference usually benefits from a shooter in each room during peak sessions. Send us your run-of-show and we'll give you an honest recommendation, even if that means less coverage.

Will you interrupt our speakers or program?+

We sure won't. Our background is in film production, where staying out of the way is part of the job, and we've carried that with us. We work from the edges, keep to the back, and time our moves to applause and transitions. The best keynote photos happen mid-sentence, and those can't be posed.

Do you offer video as well as photography?+

Yes, we'd love to! Our video team covers speaker recordings, interviews, behind-the-scenes footage of breakouts and happy hours, highlight reels and full-event coverage, all shot on Sony Cinema cameras. And since photo and video come from the same team, everything looks consistent across both.

Can you set up headshots at our conference?+

Absolutely, a few different ways! We can run a private session for your executives while they're all in town, or set up one or more stations for hundreds of attendees. Every headshot comes out uniform and on-brand, from the first person through the last.

Can you create social media content from our event?+

Yes! As an add-on, we can capture the vertical footage and stills your team needs to build its own posts, or shoot and edit everything ourselves and hand you finished, ready-to-post content. Whichever is easier for you.

We're not based in Atlanta. Can you help with a destination event?+

Absolutely, that's a big part of what we do. We're Atlanta-based and work in the city's convention centers, hotels and corporate campuses all the time, so we're always happy to share what we know about loading docks, parking and lighting. We're also a proud partner of the Atlanta Convention & Visitors Bureau.

How far in advance should we book?+

The earlier the better, though we know that's not always possible! Spring and fall are Atlanta's busiest convention seasons and weekday conference dates go fast, but we can sometimes fit in short-notice events. It's always worth asking.

Can we use the photos for marketing and ads?+

Yes, your event photos are yours to use in marketing, PR, social, sponsor materials and internal communications. If you'd like to use them in paid advertising or share them with sponsors or other third parties, just mention it when you book and we'll put the usage terms in writing so everyone's on the same page.

      Let's plan your coverage

Tell us about your event, we'd love to be part of it.

Send us whatever you have, the date, the venue, the headcount, or even just a rough idea. We'll put together a coverage plan made for your event and walk you through it. No pressure at all; we just enjoy talking about this stuff.
